Some important reasons why you should upgrade your old lighting to LED lights

An LED light or LED fixture is an electric device which emits light using several Light-Emitting-Diodes. LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than fluorescent or incandescent ones, because 95% of the energy is converted into light inside LEDs, and only 5% is converted into heat, compared to fluorescent lights which only can convert 5% of the energy they receive into light. LED fixtures also draw much less power than old traditional lighting. LEDs only need to use about 10% of the energy an incandescent lamp normally requires. Hyperlite offers very efficient LEDs with a higher wattage to lumens conversion rate of 140 lumens per watt in Hero Series and 130 lumens per watt in Max Series as two examples.

LED lights have a better life span than traditional lighting, LEDs can last up to 6 times longer than other traditional lights thus reducing constant replacements and overall manufacture and transportation costs. LED lights are also great for taking care of the environment as they help decrease  greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally LEDs do not contain toxic substances in them. Currently most offices use fluorescent lights which contain many harmful chemicals such as mercury. Mercury is essential to a fluorescent light’s capability to emit light, however those five milligrams of mercury are highly toxic, specially towards children.
Also with LEDs you will need less lights as they have better light distribution or spread. LEDs also focus light better in the desired direction compared to traditional lighting which waste light emitted in every direction or illuminating not required areas such as ceilings. Certainly you will need fewer LEDS to achieve even better lighting results thus reducing energy consumption and helping the environment in every possible way.
