At Hyperlite we love seeing our products used in real-world projects. Recently we worked with James StGeorge of Jax IVC Real Estate Holdings, LLC, a contractor in St. Augustine, Florida. James was building a custom home with a 1,300-square-foot garage. His client wanted three lighting systems, one above each parking space. The goal was to install three lighting systems that would fit seamlessly with the recessed LED spotlights in the ceiling.
The Challenge: Finding the Right Solution
In February James contacted us through our Partner Program. He outlined the requirements for his project:
- A hexagonal lighting setup for three garage bays, with three fixtures.
- The fixtures had to fit between the LED spotlights in the ceiling. The space was 9’6" wide by 14’ long.
- A borderless design was needed.
James wanted a solution that would provide light coverage and a clean look.
The Solution: A Custom Configuration and Fair Pricing
Our sales engineer, Jacty worked with James to find a solution. They decided on a 15-module configuration that was 7.3 feet by 13.8 feet with a borderless design. This setup provided coverage while meeting the design requirements.

Note: While installing these light fixtures is a feasible DIY project it's best to consult a professional for complex power distribution requirements.
Going Above and Beyond: Great Support
After receiving his order, James found a couple of issues:
1. Some essential accessories were missing.
2. The instruction manual said that for setups with than 64 fixtures a second power cable was needed. However when he connected this cable it caused a short circuit.
How did we resolve these issues?

2. We found that James made a little more grid than original plan which cause the accessories missing so we gave him a discount so he could buy the missing parts.
A week later James sent us a photo of his finished installation. The hexagonal fixtures looked great. The client was happy.
